Pizza Inn Reinvests in Mesquite with Transformative Restaurant Modernization
February 26, 2026 // Franchising.com // MESQUITE, Texas – Pizza Inn is ushering in a new era in Mesquite with its fully modernized restaurant, marking a significant reinvestment in the community and a bold step forward for the brand’s next chapter of growth. The restaurant will celebrate with a weekend-long party to welcome local families and long-time fans through the doors of a reimagined experience from America's Hometown Pizza Buffet.
Festivities begin with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, Mar. 5, followed by community-focused celebrations throughout the weekend. Guests can expect prize giveaways, a spin-to-win wheel, family activities, and special promotions as the restaurant reintroduces Mesquite to a refreshed and elevated dining experience.
Founded in Dallas in 1958, Pizza Inn has spent nearly seven decades serving Texas families, and the Mesquite transformation reflects the brand’s continued momentum and commitment to investing in the communities that shaped it. First opened in 1966, the restaurant has been a neighborhood fixture and is now welcoming guests into a thoughtfully redesigned space, featuring expanded seating, an enhanced back-fed buffet for improved flow and freshness, and a brighter, more contemporary dining environment designed for today’s families.
Beyond the updated design, the transformation reinforces Pizza Inn’s commitment to quality and scratch-style preparation. Guests can continue to enjoy pizzas topped with the brand’s signature house-shredded 100% whole milk mozzarella cheese, prepared in-restaurant daily for superior melt, flavor, and freshness. Coupled with daily house-made dough and a variety of high-quality toppings, the menu delivers handcrafted flavor and outstanding value in every bite.
The Mesquite location is owned and operated by the Hemani family, who have invested in the remodel as part of Pizza Inn’s broader effort to drive systemwide modernization, while elevating the guest experience and staying true to the brand’s heritage.
“Our family has been part of this community for years, and being able to reinvest in this restaurant in a way that honors its history while elevating the experience for today’s guests is incredibly meaningful to us,” said Ali Hemani, Pizza Inn Mesquite Franchisee. “We want families who grew up coming here to feel at home again, and we are excited for them to experience the improvements in comfort, quality, and atmosphere that Pizza Inn has today.”
While the brand’s franchise partners include individual owners, franchising groups, and partners, Pizza Inn’s transformation in Mesquite reflects its renewed focus on purposeful reinvestment, operational enhancements, and empowering family-owned franchisees to grow with confidence across the system.
“The DFW area is more than just a home base for us; it’s where Pizza Inn first started,” said Brandon Solano, CEO of Pizza Inn. “Our responsibility is not only to honor our legacy, but to continue evolving it. Seeing a family-owned restaurant like Mesquite transform and reinvest in its community demonstrates how Pizza Inn is building momentum for the future while staying deeply rooted in the neighborhoods that made us who we are.”
