Chopped Leaf Introduces Globally Inspired Bowls Across Ontario & Nova Scotia

From Curries to Pesto: A Fresh Take on Signature Favourites

April 01, 2026 // Franchising.com // Oakville, ON – Chopped Leaf is testing an innovative enhancement to its lineup, introducing globally inspired bowls that combine roasted vegetables, seasoned protein, and bold, flavourful sauces at Ontario and Nova Scotia locations. From aromatic curries to garlic and pesto, each bowl combines wholesome ingredients with warm satisfying sauces to create a meal that’s both crave-worthy and comforting.

“Our new Warm Bowls are an innovative twist on our favourites, combining the fresh ingredients our guests love with warm roasted vegetables and bold, globally inspired sauces,” said Karen Paradine, Head of Marketing at Chopped Leaf. “The result is a meal that feels both fresh and comforting — ideal for a satisfying dinner, or a tasty new option for lunch. Ontario is a great place to test this concept because diners are familiar with international flavours and enjoy exploring new tastes, while Nova Scotia continues to show increasing appetite for fresh, flavourful dishes.”

The bowls were developed by blending culinary inspiration with insights from industry research. Chopped Leaf tracks reports from organizations including the National Restaurant Association, Technomic, Mintel, and Datassential to identify emerging flavours, changing dining habits, and popular ingredients.

The three new bowls start with seasoned brown basmati rice and feature a combination of fresh ingredients, warm roasted vegetables, and proteins, finished with warm, flavourful sauces that add depth and comfort to each dish.

Guests can enjoy their favourite combinations, including:

  • Lotus Bowl – Seasoned brown basmati rice topped with grilled chicken, roasted broccoli, roasted red and yellow bell peppers, garnished with peanuts, green onion, red chili, topped with Thai green coconut curry sauce.
  • Bistro Bowl – Seasoned brown basmati rice with sirloin steak, roasted sweet potato, roasted broccoli, roasted mushrooms, pickled red onion, garnished with crispy fried onions, drizzled with pesto and creamy garlic sauce.
  • Autumn Bowl – Seasoned brown basmati rice with grilled chicken, roasted sweet potato, roasted broccoli, roasted mushrooms, roasted red and yellow bell peppers, garnished with roasted pumpkin seeds, finished with a curried butternut squash sauce.

These flavourful new bowls are now available at 11 Ontario Chopped Leaf restaurants, located in Barrie, Burlington, Hamilton, Milton, Mississauga, Kitchener, London, Ottawa, St. Catharines and Waterloo; and two Nova Scotia Chopped Leaf restaurants located in Dartmouth and Bedford.
