The Greene Turtle Marks 50 Years With One-Day Throwback Pricing

June 18 marks the same date The Greene Turtle opened its original location in 1976. On that day, guests can enjoy fan-favorite menu items at retro prices, including 50-cent wings*, $5 Bavarian Pretzel Sticks, a $19.76 Crab Cake Duo, $2.50 domestic beers, $2.50 House Ritas, $2.50 Greene Tea Shooters and $5 Orange Crushes, as the brand turns back the clock to 1976. Participating restaurants will embrace the occasion with themed décor and a festive atmosphere throughout the day.

“This milestone is about the people who made The Greene Turtle part of their traditions over the years,” said Kevin Curley, vice president of culinary and concept development. “For some guests, it’s where Little League wins turned into family dinners or playoff games stretched into closing time. For others, it’s the place where beach weekends started with a Crush and a basket of wings. We wanted this anniversary to bring those memories back while celebrating everything the brand has become over the last 50 years.”

Founded in Maryland in 1976, The Greene Turtle has grown from a laid-back coastal hangout into a regional restaurant concept with a neighborhood bar identity, serving generations of guests with favorites like its famous crab dip, legendary tenders and handcrafted cocktails while continuing to support local communities, organizations and youth sports programs.
