Cheba Hut Levels Up Arcadia with New Toasted Joint
June 17, 2026 // Franchising.com // PHOENIX — Cheba Hut is opening a location in Arcadia and bringing a fresh batch of toasted subs, cold drinks and good times along for the ride.Tthe new shop is slated to open June 22 and marks a top Cheba Hut location in the Phoenix area. Conveniently situated in the heart of Arcadia near the Northwest corner of 32nd & Indian School, giving homies another place to gather, kick back and tame the munchies.
The Arcadia Hut features a spacious dining room, a full-service bar and a garage door that opens directly to an outdoor service counter and patio, creating an indoor-outdoor hangout built for lunch breaks, happy hours and late-night munchie runs.
An Arizona native, Franchise Owner Justin Lemos has been enjoying Cheba Hut since 1998 and says his connection to the brand goes far beyond the toasted subs. The Arcadia location is Lemos's fourth Cheba Hut.
The shop's centerpiece is a custom arcade-themed mural by longtime Cheba Hut artist Josh Finley. A Chebaverse mainstay whose work spans the brand's shops nationwide, Finley's piece is inspired by both the Arcadia neighborhood and Lemos's childhood memories spent at the Nickel Palace arcade. The artwork celebrates classic gaming culture through the lens of the Chebaverse.
"As we explored different opportunities, we kept coming back to Cheba Hut because of the people behind it," said Lemos. "The food gets people in the door, but it's the culture that keeps them coming back. We wanted to create a place where neighbors can relax, connect and have a genuinely great time. Arcadia felt like the perfect fit for that, and bringing in the arcade theme gave us a chance to build something personal that reflects some of my favorite memories growing up here."
For homies new to the brand, Cheba Hut serves more than 30 signature toasted subs inspired by classic cannabis strains and available in Nug (4-inch), Pinner (8-inch) and Blunt (12-inch) sizes. Fan favorites include the White Widow, loaded with chicken, bacon and ranch; the Kali Mist, a spicy club stacked with turkey, bacon and pepper jack; the Dank, a pizza-inspired masterpiece layered with pepperoni, salami, marinara and melted mozzarella; and the Griefo, a veggie-forward favorite piled high with cream cheese, avocado and fresh greens.
The menu also features munchie-approved sides like pretzel nugs and garlic cheese bread, sweet treats including Krispy Bars and cookies, plus the Kool-Aid bar that’s been a go-to remedy for cottonmouth since day one.
The Arcadia location will be open Sunday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., with extended hours until midnight Friday and Saturday.
With the mix of toasted subs, a playful, neighborhood-first approach and a mascot named "Flip the Bird," the concept features toasted subs, humor, a neighborhood-first mindset and a mascot named "Flip the Bird."
