The Glass Guru Expands in North Carolina with New Durham Location

August 06, 2026 // Franchising.com // DURHAM, N.C. — The Glass Guru announces the opening of The Glass Guru of Durham, owned and operated by Jeff Cottle. The location opened and started serving customers on Monday, Aug. 3, 2026.

Originally from Lima, Peru, Cottle earned his degree in industrial engineering from the University of Lima before completing his MBA at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh in 2017.

Throughout his career, Cottle has held a variety of management positions, most recently serving as a product manager for BASF’s Urban Pest Control division. His corporate experience helped him develop a strong foundation in leadership, strategic problem-solving and delivering solutions centered on customer needs.

After building a successful corporate career, Cottle began looking for an opportunity to apply his business experience to entrepreneurship and create something of his own.

“The Glass Guru offered the opportunity to combine my passion for business with the ability to serve the local community,” Cottle said. “I’m excited to build a team that is known for honest guidance, quality workmanship and an exceptional customer experience.”

The Glass Guru of Durham provides glass restoration, repair and replacement services to homeowners and businesses in Durham and the surrounding area.

“Every project deserves thoughtful attention and open communication,” Cottle said. “Our goal is to make sure each customer feels confident that they have chosen the right team for their home or business.”

Outside of work, Cottle enjoys spending time with his wife, Iza, and their children, Thomas and Lilia. The family enjoys exploring local parks, visiting museums, traveling and spending time outdoors. Cottle is also an exercise and mountain-biking enthusiast.

The Glass Guru of Durham officially opened on Aug. 3 and will assist customers with their glass repair, restoration and replacement needs.
