Keyrenter Riding a Summer Hot Streak with 14 New Deals

August 07, 2026 // Franchising.com // MIDVALE, UT – Keyrenter Property Management is on a hot streak this summer, surpassing a significant milestone by establishing their 100th location since they began franchising the concept back in 2014. Since the beginning of 2026, Keyrenter has awarded a total of 14 new territories, with five candidates currently prepping for their Discovery Day sessions as early as next week. The territories recently claimed in this wave of new signings include new Keyrenter Property Management locations in Colorado, California, Texas, Florida, Virginia, Illinois, North Carolina, Michigan, and New Mexico.

Eric Steward was appointed to serve as the organization's Vice-President of Onboarding.

Eric Steward, CFE has a well-established track record of success in the franchising industry, especially in the residential real estate space, having spent over a dozen years working in various recruiting roles at Pillar to Post. In his time with the brand he worked his way up the corporate ladder, beginning as a marketing coordinator before being promoted to manager, then director, and ultimately serving as the organization’s senior director of franchise recruiting.

Founded in 2007 in Midvale, Utah, Keyrenter Property Management began franchising in 2014 and reports 94 franchisees representing 101 locations. As a franchisee in the Keyrenter network, owners provide a wide range of routine residential property management services in their territories such as rent collection, repair, routine maintenance, and securing tenants for vacant homes. The residential real estate market includes an estimated 25 million single-family rental units, with about 4% institutionally owned and operated.
