The Flying Biscuit Café Signs Franchise Agreement to Bring All-Day Breakfast to Magnolia, Texas

August 14, 2026 // Franchising.com // MAGNOLIA, TX — The Flying Biscuit Café has signed a two-unit franchise agreement with Mitchell and Heather Wagner to bring the Atlanta-born breakfast and lunch brand to Magnolia, Texas, and one additional market in the greater Houston area. The specific locations and opening timing will be announced separately.

Mitchell Wagner served in the U.S. Army before earning his degree from Texas State University and spending 27 years leading sales and operations for two of the country’s largest retailers. Over that career he ran businesses generating more than $100 million in annual revenue and led teams of more than 300 people. Heather Wagner joins him as business partner in the venture. Both grew up in small Texas towns.

Magnolia is one of the fastest-growing towns in the Houston area while holding onto a close-knit, hometown feel — the combination that drew the Wagners to it. The couple was married in Magnolia and has wanted to put down roots there since. They plan to build the café around local families, schools and youth sports teams, churches, and, as a veteran himself, Mitchell Wagner intends to connect with area first responders, active military, and fellow veterans.

The agreement covers two Flying Biscuit Café locations in the greater Houston area, beginning with Magnolia. The Wagners have also expressed interest in New Caney and College Station as potential markets down the road, though no territory beyond the current two-unit agreement has been awarded.
