Bojangles Signs Four-Unit Agreement, Including Brand’s First Military Base Location

August 20, 2026 // Franchising.com Bojangles has signed an agreement to bring two restaurants to Norfolk, Virginia, as part of a four-location non-traditional development deal planned over the next six years.

The agreement has been signed with Faber, Coe & Gregg of Florida, Inc., an experienced operator group that owns restaurants, bars and retail businesses across more than 60 locations, including in non-traditional venues such as airports, transit locations, train stations and more. Founded in 1848, the company possesses a diverse franchise portfolio that includes brands such as Dunkin', Jimmy John's, Wetzel's Pretzels and Sonic, leveraging decades of restaurant operating experience as they grow Bojangles’ DMV footprint.

“From the second we were introduced to Bojangles, we knew it was a special brand with a proven operating model and a leadership team that truly supports its franchisees,” said Wally Janokowicz, Vice President at Faber. “We’re honored to lead the company’s first military base restaurant and help introduce Bojangles to new guests in Virginia. We’re confident the brand’s made-from-scratch biscuits, bold chicken offerings and Southern hospitality will resonate with community members throughout the region.”

In addition to opening Bojangles’ first military base restaurant in Norfolk, Janokowicz and the Faber team also will be spearheading the opening of a new location in the Norfolk International Airport, along with commitments for two other non-traditional Bojangles restaurants.

“Bojangles is growing its Southern roots across the East Coast, and we’re incredibly proud this includes our first military base restaurant,” said Jose Armario, CEO of Bojangles. “The operators leading this growth are seasoned restaurant professionals who truly embody our brand and values. The key to sustainable growth is the success of our franchisees, and we look forward to supporting this team as they introduce Bojangles to new communities.”

As Bojangles plans to bring new locations to the Norfolk area, franchising opportunities remain available in prime territories throughout Virginia, offering entrepreneurs the chance to capitalize on Bojangles’ proven business model and bring Southern flavor to new communities.

For nearly 50 years, Bojangles has been a staple in the Southeast, offering iconic menu items such as hand-breaded chicken, fresh-baked buttermilk biscuits and mouthwatering breakfast served all day. As Bojangles accelerates its expansion, the brand is focused on partnering with seasoned franchise owners and restaurant operators to grow its footprint in new and emerging markets. Individuals interested in franchising with Bojangles should possess strong financial capacity, relevant business or restaurant experience, a sophisticated professional background, and the ability to open at least three locations in their market.
