Hot Head Burritos Fires Up Northeast Indiana with Decatur Debut

September 09, 2026 // Franchising.com // DECATUR, Ind. – Hot Head Burritos is bringing the heat to Adams County with the opening of a restaurant at 644 N. 13th St. on Sept. 10.

Opening day festivities will include a ribbon cutting at 10:30 a.m. with the mayor in attendance. The restaurant will open immediately following the ceremony, and guests can stop in throughout the day to get their first taste of Hot Head’s customizable menu.

Located near Hanna Nuttman Park, the restaurant will serve customizable burritos, bowls, tacos, nachos and more, with more than 40 ingredients and 16 signature sauces ranging from Mild to Wild. Guests can also order any entrée “toasted” for an extra crispy crunch. Whether grabbing a quick lunch, stopping in after practice or meeting up for dinner, guests can build each meal to fit their tastes.

The Decatur opening marks the second restaurant for franchisee Nathan Rager, who is expanding with Hot Head following momentum at his first location in Van Wert. The new restaurant extends his footprint into Northeast Indiana and introduces the brand to Adams County.

“You can tell pretty quickly that this isn’t a one-size-fits-all kind of concept,” Rager said. “There’s a lot of energy behind the brand, and people really connect with the ability to switch things up and try something new every visit. Whether it’s loading up on toppings, trying a different sauce or getting their meal ‘toasted’ for that extra crispy crunch, guests end up creating combinations they can’t wait to come back for.”

The Decatur location is a top-ranked restaurant nationwide and top-ranked in Indiana. The restaurant will serve the community Monday through Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.
