Chicken Salad Chick to Open First Restaurant in the Empire State

September 10, 2026 // Franchising.com // ATLANTA, GA – Chicken Salad Chick announced today the opening of its first restaurant in New York, which will expand the brand’s footprint to 27 states. The local community is invited to celebrate this grand opening on Tuesday, September 22, when the first 100 guests in line will win free chicken salad for a year*. 

The new restaurant is located in The Shops at Village Plaza at 5 Southside Drive in Clifton Park. The restaurant offers a variety of made-from-scratch chicken salad flavors, sides, soups, sandwiches, and desserts. The Clifton Park location offers in-restaurant dining, take-out, delivery, and catering options.

During the grand opening week, guests can expect to experience the Southern hospitality Chicken Salad Chick is known for while taking advantage of various specials and giveaways. These include:

• Tuesday, September 22 – Free Chicken Salad for a Year to the First 100 Guests – The first guest in line at 10am will receive one FREE large Quick Chick of chicken salad per week for an entire year. The next 99 guests in line will receive one FREE large Quick Chick of chicken salad per month for a year.
• Wednesday, September 23 – The first 50 guests to spend a minimum of $15 will receive a free 40oz Chick Tumbler!**
• Thursday, September 24 – The first 50 guests to purchase two large Quick Chicks will receive a FREE large Chick Cooler!***

Chicken Salad Chick of Clifton Park is the first restaurant under a franchise agreement covering locations in Albany, Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, and the Upper Hudson Valley. The project is led by a franchise group with experience operating multiple restaurant brands in Upstate New York.

Giving back to the community is an important focus for the Clifton Park team and the Chicken Salad Chick brand, which established the CSC Foundation to support CURE Childhood Cancer and local food banks with fundraisers throughout the year. As part of pre-opening Friends & Family events in Clifton Park, the restaurant will be raising money for CAPTAIN Youth and Family Services, also known as CAPTAIN Community Human Services, which is a non-profit organization supporting individuals, families, and seniors in Saratoga County and the surrounding Capital Region.
