Paris Baguette Expands Their Footprint With a New Café Opening in Schaumburg on September 17

October 19, 2026 // Franchising.com // SCHAUMBURG, Ill. — Paris Baguette and franchise owner Max Cangelosi are proud to announce the opening of the newest bakery café at 1250 N. Meacham Road, Schaumburg, IL, on Sep. 17. The new bakery café will bring Paris Baguette's signature assortment of artisan pastries, cakes, breads, and handcrafted beverages to the Schaumburg community. With more than 4,000 locations worldwide and more than 300 bakery cafés operating across North America, the brand continues to expand its footprint, with multiple locations in development. The established concept is rapidly strengthening its presence in key markets.

Cangelosi spent nearly two decades in telecommunications before moving into franchising in 2005. He went on to build multiple Sport Clips locations and a Style Encore store, then began looking for another concept to add to his portfolio. That search led him to Paris Baguette. After opening his first café, he decided to expand again with a second location in Schaumburg.

"After years in franchising, I've learned the importance of investing in brands that create memorable experiences for guests," Cangelosi said. "Paris Baguette offers something truly special, and opening a second location is an exciting opportunity to introduce even more people to the quality, hospitality and sense of community that make the brand unique."

The Schaumburg café opening is a milestone for the brand, and the 12th in the state of Illinois.

Paris Baguette plans to reach 1,000 locations across the U.S. and Canada by 2030 and is expanding through meaningful partnerships with local entrepreneurs who show a genuine interest in bringing people together over fresh-baked goods and artisan coffee beverages.

“We’re on a mission to reestablish the neighborhood bakery café as the heart of the community across the U.S., and we’re excited to see Max bring this to life in his local trade area,” said Darren Tipton, CEO of Paris Baguette. “In our cafes we like to say, ‘Happy to see you. Happier to serve you.’ And we know Max will wholeheartedly embrace this approach in his neighborhood.”
