Longtime Pet Butler Customer Purchases Southwest Ohio Franchise in Successful Resale
October 26, 2026 // Franchising.com // DAYTON, Ohio – Pet Butler has announced the successful resale of its Southwest Ohio franchise, with Tony Baron purchasing the business from Todd Figgins and RJ McKay. The territory serves customers throughout the Dayton and Cincinnati region with pet waste removal and pet care services.
For Baron, the purchase marks the transition from a more than 20-year corporate career into business ownership. While exploring the possibility of becoming an entrepreneur, he found himself taking a closer look at a brand he already knew well, having been a Pet Butler customer for nearly a decade.
What started as a customer relationship ultimately led to an ownership opportunity.
"As I explored different opportunities, I kept coming back to this one," said Baron. "I already knew the brand as a customer, but what really stood out was the strength of the business itself. Todd and RJ built a great reputation, strong customer relationships and a foundation that made this an easy decision."
Baron plans to continue serving customers throughout the territory while building on the relationships, reputation and community presence established over the years.
"The best franchise resales aren't about replacing an owner. They're about continuing a legacy," said Mark Potocki, Vice President of Business Development for Pet Butler. "The seller is able to move on to their next chapter, the buyer steps into an established business, and customers continue receiving the service they've come to expect. That's exactly what happened here."
