Angry Chickz Enters Kansas With Milestone 50th Restaurant

October 29, 2026 // Franchising.com // OLATHE, Kan. – Angry Chickz is bringing the heat to Kansas, opening its doors at 14995 W. 119th St. in Olathe on Nov. 13. This marks the brand’s first restaurant in Kansas and its 50th location nationwide.

The milestone comes eight years after founder and CEO David Mkhitaryan opened the first Angry Chickz in a 900-square-foot storefront in East Hollywood. What started as a small neighborhood restaurant has since grown into a multi-state operation, with the Olathe opening bringing Angry Chickz into the Kansas City market for the first time.

Kansas guests can expect the menu that built the brand’s following, including made-to-order chicken tenders, chicken sliders and bowls, with six heat levels ranging from Country to Angry. Guests can pick the level that fits their taste, whether that means keeping things mild or seeing how much heat they can handle.

Opening day will give Olathe guests a few extra reasons to be among the first through the doors. When the restaurant opens at 11 a.m. on Nov. 13, the first 100 guests will receive an exclusive Angry Chickz jersey. Guests who are in line by 10:30 a.m. local time will also be eligible to enter an on-site drawing for a chance to win Angry Chickz for a Year, along with additional food prizes.

The Olathe opening also kicks off Angry Chickz’s efforts to establish roots in its newest market. The brand plans to hire locally and connect with Olathe schools, businesses and community organizations as it gets ready to welcome its first Kansas guests.
