Wetzel’s Pretzels Opens New South Carolina Walmart Location

November 02, 2026 // Franchising.com // GOOSE CREEK, S.C. – Wetzel’s Pretzels, is expanding its presence in South Carolina with a new bakery inside the Walmart Supercenter at 605 Saint James Ave.

The Goose Creek bakery will be operated by Mathieu and Hannah Rajaonah. The husband-and-wife duo relocated to the Charleston area in 2025 and saw an opportunity to bring the brand to South Carolina. They opened their first location with the brand earlier this year in Summerville, marking the brand’s first brick-and-mortar location in South Carolina. They look to continue to grow with Wetzel’s in the South Carolina region.

“We’re eager to open our second location with Wetzel’s Pretzels in just under one year as we expand the brand in South Carolina,” said Mathieu Rajaonah. “The partnership with Walmart has allowed us to connect with the community, and we look forward to introducing the brand to guests in Goose Creek.”

The new location builds on Wetzel’s Pretzels growing partnership with Walmart, bringing the brand’s freshly baked pretzels and refreshing drinks to shoppers in a convenient retail setting. Guests can enjoy a quick snack while shopping for everyday essentials.
