Franchise History

Pearle Vision is one of the largest brands in the optical retail category, with hundreds of eye care centers in the United States, Puerto Rico and Canada. We were founded in 1961 by Dr. Stanley Pearle, a visionary optometrist who brought doctors and opticians together under one roof to help offer patients a convenient, holistic, eye care experience. He believed that a simple recipe of a best-in-class doctor with an unmatched commitment to personalized care, combined with an assortment of frame and lens options could set his practice apart. Before long, his vision grew to become the country’s first large-scale optical practice. Today, our mission is to provide more patients, and more communities, with genuine eye care by partnering with optometrists, opticians and investors who share our passion for genuine eye care.
