Georgia Restaurant Association Elects Wing Zone's Executive Vice President Stan Friedman to Serve on its Board of Directors

ATLANTA - The Georgia Restaurant Association has officially elected Wing Zone's Executive Vice President Stan Friedman to serve on its Board of Directors.

"First and foremost, on behalf of the executive committee and the entire Georgia Restaurant Association's Board of Directors, we want to express our appreciation for Stan's continued dedication to furthering Georgia's restaurant and hospitality industry," said Ron Wolf, executive director. "Stan will be a key addition to our board, as we will utilize his expertise, energy and knowledge in helping the association's growth."

The Georgia Restaurant Association represents an industry comprising over 21,000 foodservice businesses and drinking establishments in the state of Georgia with total sales in excess of $12 billion. Further, the industry provides over 380,000 jobs within the state of Georgia, more than any other non-government employer in the state.

Friedman has been instrumental in the growth and development of the Wing Zone franchise brand, one of the nation's fastest-growing takeout & deliver concepts best noted for its award-winning 25 flavors of fresh, cooked-to-order Buffalo chicken wings, to more than 80 locations throughout the nation. Before joining Wing Zone, Friedman served in high-ranking positions with such franchise industry giants as Blimpie International and Cendant, the world's largest hotel and real estate brokerage franchisor.

In his upcoming role on the GRA Board of Directors, Friedman will co-chair the association's Franchise Roundtable and be an active member of the association's membership and government affairs committees.

"The association does a fantastic job of setting the agenda for legislative and regulatory agencies, as well as conducting marketin and promotional campaigns to benefit members," Friedman said. "I see my role on the Board of Directors as a chance to enhance our industry's image in Georgia and nationally, and to encourage and provide as much education and training to our members as possible to make us all the best restaurateurs we can be."
