To celebrate its silver anniversary, the maker of "The Country's Best Yogurt" launches its new line of distinctly "cultured" hand-scooped frozen yogurt

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – TCBY® is celebrating 25 years of serving "The Country's Best Yogurt" this year with the launch of a delicious new line of hand-scooped frozen yogurt, available by the scoop or in pre-packed quarts. Made with either 96 percent fat-free or no sugar added frozen yogurt, TCBY's delicious new product line offers consumers the perfect way to enjoy an indulgent treat that's also "better for you."

When compared with a leading brand of ice cream1, TCBY's delicious, creamy hand-scooped frozen yogurt has:

* 54% fewer calories, including 79% fewer calories from fat;
* 78% less total fat and 80% fewer saturated fats;
* 77% less cholesterol;
* 27% fewer carbohydrates; and
* 14% less sodium.

TCBY's new line of hand-scooped frozen yogurt also provides a healthy dose of calcium, as well as protein, vitamin D, and seven live active cultures. Studies suggest that live active cultures may provide benefits such as improved digestion and better absorption of nutrients. Studies also show that calcium may help promote weight loss and plays a role in strengthening bones.
