"Jeff Moody was chosen from a very good field of candidates with a wealth of marketing experience. What set Jeff apart was his unique combination of marketing and operations experience, which will be a huge asset to our franchisees," said Jeff Offutt, SFAFT Chainwide Board Chairman. "Jeff's collaborative and team oriented approach will be a benefit not only to our franchisees, but to the entire SUBWAY(R) family."

"I am thrilled and honored to be joining the SUBWAY(R) family," said Mr. Moody. "The SUBWAY(R) brand is a global powerhouse with nearly 28,000 locations worldwide. We not only want people to Eat Fresh(TM), but we also have to act and think "fresh" to own the customers of today and tomorrow. SUBWAY(R) restaurants are better positioned to do this than any other QSR while providing positive same store sales growth for our franchisees. I look forward to working with SUBWAY(R) co-founder Fred DeLuca, our franchisees, the Chainwide SFAFT and local market Boards, our agency partners, and all the members of the SUBWAY(R) family."

Moody joins SFAFT from Metromedia Restaurant Group, one of the world's leading multi-concept table-service restaurant groups, with more than 800 restaurants in the U.S. and abroad, where he served as Chairman, Chief Executive Officer, and President from 2005 to 2007. During Moody's tenure, he revamped menus, restructured operations, and rebuilt franchise relations for major chains including Bennigan's Grill & Tavern, Steak and Ale Restaurant and Ponderosa. He also served as President of Metromedia Steakhouses from 2003 to 2005.

Moody served as a Vice President, Marketing and Corporate Officer for GE Major Appliances from 1999 to 2000 and was President of KFC restaurants for Tricon Global Restaurants from 1997 to 1999. Prior to his position at Tricon, Moody held leadership positions at PepsiCo for various divisions, including Pizza Hut and PepsiCo Restaurants International for 10 years. He led the global expansion of Pizza Hut's Stuffed Crust Pizza which drove record sales and profits in U.K., Europe, and parts of Asia.

Moody holds a Masters Degree from Northwestern Kellogg School of Management and received his Bachelors Degree from Amherst College.
