5-year-old Emalee, crowned Miss American Rose Pageant entrant, heads into State and National competitions this September and November, respectively. The Miss American Rose pageant is based mainly on achievements. There are optional competitions in academics, talent, community service, career, and beauty.

Emalee, proudly sponsored by HomeTask Handyman Service, is actively involved with Fishline Food bank of North Kitsap, and her community service includes 3-4 food drives a year (she participated in gathering 600+ lbs of food last year for them, and over $200 in cash donations…and pacing to do more this year). In addition she supplies them with all their detergent bottles by recycling old water bottles and labeling them with "Mr. Yuk" stickers and the detergent instructions (she has currently donated 234 bottles since February).
