California Pizza Kitchen Opens Restaurant in San Bernardino at The Shoppes at Northpointe

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 8, 2007--California Pizza Kitchen, Inc. (CPK) (Nasdaq:CPKI), home to the Original BBQ Chicken Pizza and other innovative hearth-baked pizzas, made-to-order pastas, creative salads, soups, appetizers, sandwiches and desserts, opened a restaurant in San Bernardino, Calif., today at The Shoppes at Northpointe, a 21,000 square foot retail and outdoor dining complex.

The new 5,900 square foot restaurant is located on East Hospitality Lane at Tippecanoe, at the base of local mountain resorts, and at the crossroads of the I-215 and I-10 Freeways. Hours of operation will be Monday through Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. except Friday and Saturday when the restaurant closes at 11:00 p.m. Guests can dine-in or place a take-out order by calling (909) 799-3450.

The menu features all of the popular favorites, including the Thai Chicken Pizza, Jamaican Jerk Pizza, BBQ Chicken Chopped Salad and Shanghai Garlic Noodles, as well as five new menu items: Mediterranean Salad, Pan Sauteed Salmon served with fresh grilled asparagus and spaghettini in a creamy lemon-caper sauce, Cajun Pizza with blackened chicken and spicy andouille sausage with a Creole sauce, The Works Pizza topped with sweet Italian sausage, pepperoni, sauteed mushrooms, green peppers, black olives and mozzarella cheese, and a rich White Chocolate Peanut Butter Cheesecake.

There is also an impressive beverage menu with a great selection of wines and more than 40 specialty drinks. Also available are five new cocktails including Caribbean Sunset Sangria, Peach Passion Punch, Mango Lava Colada, Absolutly Sweet Peach Tea and Malibu Iced Tea.

Following CPK's tradition of giving back to the communities in which it operates, the new CPK restaurant will donate 100% of all dine-in pizza sales during regular business hours on Monday, October 15, 2007, to the Make-A-Wish Foundation(R) of Orange County and the Inland Empire. Make-A-Wish(R) fulfills wishes for children between the ages of 2 1/2 and 18 years, who confront life-threatening medical conditions. Granting wishes helps these children find the hope they need to transform their life-threatening illnesses into life-affirming triumphs.
