California Pizza Kitchen Opens in Las Vegas, Nevada
Opening to Benefit Child Focus
LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 10, 2007--California Pizza Kitchen, Inc. (CPK) (Nasdaq:CPKI), home of the Original BBQ Chicken Pizza and other innovative hearth-baked pizzas, made-to-order pastas, creative salads, soups, appetizers, sandwiches and desserts, opened its newest Las Vegas location today at Town Square, the south Strip's new 1.5 million-square-foot open-air shopping, dining and entertainment destination.
The new CPK restaurant is approximately 5,700 square-feet and is located directly off Las Vegas Boulevard, South at Town Square Boulevard. Hours of operation are 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Guests can dine-in or place a take-out order by calling (702) 896-5154.
The Town Square CPK opened with the newest menu additions including Cabo Crab Cakes, a new appetizer made with blue crab, pan-sauteed and served with roasted corn and black bean salsa and roasted pepper aioli; Miso Salad, a fresh new salad made with blue crab and shrimp or chicken along with shredded Napa cabbage, fresh avocado, julienne cucumbers, daikon, edemame, carrots, green onions, cilantro, crispy rice noodles and crispy wontons, tossed in a Miso dressing; Blue Crab Cakes, a new specialty item made with blue crab, pan-sauteed and served with fresh grilled asparagus and spaghettini in a creamy lemon-caper sauce; Italian Tomato & Basil Pizza with imported Italian tomatoes, Mozzarella cheese and CPK's tomato sauce topped with fresh basil and Parmesan cheese. For those with a sweet tooth, a new dessert is being added to the menu: a three-layer Red Velvet Cake frosted with vanilla bean cream cheese and white chocolate curls served on vanilla bean sauce.
The new restaurant also features an extensive beverage menu for its full bar, including CPK's original California Cosmo, along with four new cocktails including Beverly Hills Tea, Coconut Mojito, Caribbean Sunset Sangria and Appleberry Sangria.
In keeping with CPK's tradition of giving back to the communities it serves, CPK will donate 100% of all dine-in pizza sales from the Town Square location on December 17th to Child Focus, a local non-profit organization that provides resources and services to the more than 6,000 Clark County children in foster care. Child Focus' programs include mentoring and tutoring services to promote academic success in addition to sibling preservation and reunification events. The organization has also been selected to administer the Nevada state initiative FAFFY, which offers public funding to support young adults transitioning from foster care to living independently.
