Release of Preliminary Results for the Fourth Quarter Scheduled for January 15, 2008

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 3, 2008--California Pizza Kitchen, Inc. (Nasdaq: CPKI) announced today that management will be presenting at the ICR XChange Conference in Dana Point, California on Thursday, January 17, 2008 at 11:45 a.m. PST.

The Company also announced plans to release preliminary results for the fourth quarter ended December 30, 2007 after the market closes on Tuesday, January 15, 2008.
