Denny's Popular Free Birthday Meal Promotion Back in Arizona

Restaurants Statewide Seek to Make Dining Out on Special Day More Affordable

SPARTANBURG, S.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 19, 2008--Birthdays are the leading special occasion for restaurant dining, according to the Holiday Dining 2000 survey by the National Restaurant Association. Beginning in May - Denny's official birthday month - all Denny's restaurants in Arizona are helping sweeten the occasion with the launch of a statewide free birthday meal program.

"Denny's has been celebrating birthdays with kids and families for over 55 years," said Mark Chmiel, Denny's Chief Innovation and Marketing Officer. "We have over 70 of our restaurants involved in the program - the entire state - and it's a terrific way to thank our valued guests and provide a cost savings for Arizona residents and visitors."

Guests visiting a participating Denny's restaurant on their birthday will receive a free meal with the purchase of a second meal and two beverages. All you need to redeem your free birthday meal is valid identification, showing your birth date. The free birthday meal program is being promoted in-store and through local advertising.

Denny's also offers other programs to help stretch your food dollars. Restaurants nationwide offer Kid's Eat Free night every Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.
