Fast Food Icon to Host "Sample Saturdays" During the Month of June and July, Giving Guests a Chance to Taste Menu Items For Free, Including a New Line of Slush Beverages Called the Krystal Freeze™

June 04, 2008 // Franchising.com // CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – The Krystal Company today announced that it will kick off its first summer in Northwest Arkansas by hosting a series of summertime sampling events for Springdale residents. The "Sample Saturdays" events in Springdale will take place on Saturday, June 7, Saturday, June 21 and a TBA Saturday in July and will provide Krystal guests the opportunity to sample for free the company's expansive menu options, including its new line of premium, icy cold slush beverages called Krystal Freeze™, available for the first time in Springdale beginning June 7.

"When we first opened our Springdale location in January, a lot of the attention and excitement was centered on the Famous Krystal hamburger," said Brad Wahl, vice president of marketing, The Krystal Company. "Now that everyone has had an opportunity to fall in love with the iconic, small, square burger, we want to properly introduce them to our complete line-up of menu items, many of which are brand new and offer a perfect summertime indulgence - like the new Krystal Freeze."

Guests visiting the Springdale Krystal located at 1503 S. Thompson on June 7, June 21 and July TBA between the hours of 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., will have the opportunity to taste test a variety of menu items including signature Krystal offerings that are famously small in size yet big in taste as well as exciting new product offerings from Krystal that deliver an exceptional value—not just in price but also in premium quality.

Items that will be available for guests to sample for free include:

Krystal Freeze™ - Available for the first time in Springdale beginning June 7, the Krystal Freeze™ is a deliciously cool treat that takes the classic American slush beverage and combines the icy concoction with the highest quality gourmet syrups made from pure cane sugar and natural fruit flavorings. The Krystal Freeze line-up consists of seven refreshing flavors: Orange, Cherry, Green Apple, Grape, Pomegranate, Blueberry and the classic frozen favorite, Coca Cola®

Krystal Chiks™ - Krystal's signature, small, square chicken sandwich served up on the famously soft Krystal bun and topped with mayonnaise and a pickle.

Krystal Pups™ - The company's iconically small hot dog served plain or with chili and/or cheese.

Breakfast Scramblers™ - Krystal's one-of-a-kind breakfast line that takes the contents of a traditional plate breakfast and stacks them smartly in bowls to be conveniently enjoyed on the go, either scrambled up or layer by layer.

MilkQuakes™ - Krystal's lineup of premium milkshakes made with real ice cream. Flavors include Chocolate, Vanilla and Strawberry, and for a limited time Banana Pudding and Reese's Peanut Butter Cup.
