Today, Hooters Gave Away $50,000 to Customers

Hooters recognizes company's 25th anniversary; awards 1 lucky customer with instant $25,000 cash prize and 25 additional customers with $1,000 prizes

ATLANTA, June 25 // PRNewswire // -- In celebration of Hooters 25th Anniversary, the company passed along some of its success to Garret Landers who was an instant $25,000 winner today at the Hooters of Chattanooga! Landers, an Army Officer stationed in Atlanta, sat down at the Hooters restaurant located at 5912 Brainerd Rd. for a plate of wings and curly fries. What he didn't expect was to leave with more money in hand!

"I am in Chattanooga for business and went into my now "favorite" restaurant for lunch, and had no idea what was going to happen," explained Landers. "I have a wife and 3 kids at home and we are going to start a college fund with the money."

In addition to Landers' instant win, Hooters will be giving out an additional $25,000 today to customers across the country. On the 25th of every month this year, there is a celebration at every Hooters and guests receive a scratch card giving them a chance to win $25,000 instantly or be entered into a second chance drawing in which 25 lucky customers will win $1,000. So far this year, Hooters has already given away a total of $150,000 cash -- including today's winners.
