In-Restaurant Promotions & Launch of New Company Website Commemorate 50th Milestone

In celebration of its 50th Anniversary, a milestone shared with Jack Kilby's invention of the microchip; the launch of the first passenger jet service on the Boeing 707; and the Wham-O company's introduction of the Hula Hoop®, Perkins has kicked off a series of in-restaurant promotions designed to entice the palette and please the pocketbook. Perkins 50th Anniversary celebration culminates with the rollout of www.perkinsrestaurants.com, which in addition to incorporating a completely redesigned layout and graphic feel, integrates guest oriented programs including an eClub, interactive location finder and maps, onsite driving directions, and an invitation to "Meet at Perkins." The commencement of www.perkinsrestaurants.com comes on the heels of a series of in-restaurant promotions that guests at Perkins Restaurants & Bakeries throughout the country have been enjoying since July 1. These include several menu items especially created for Perkins 50th Anniversary including a "Crazy Cookie" tin featuring a dozen cookies each of which are half sugar and half chocolate chip; an Anniversary Platter which includes a stack of three pancakes, two eggs and a cup of seasonal fruit; and not to be outdone, the irresistible Wildberry Silk Pie (photo available upon request) which consists of a chocolate cookie crust, a layer of chocolate ganache topped with wildberry silk mousse and covered with whipped cream.
