Baskin-Robbins Opens Cincinnati for Franchise Sales; Plans More Than 200 New Stores Across Ohio

America's Favorite Neighborhood Ice Cream Shop Hosts Cincinnati Franchising Seminar on August 5, 2008

CANTON, Mass., July 28 // PRNewswire // -- Baskin-Robbins, America's favorite neighborhood ice cream shop, is rapidly expanding its Ohio footprint with today's announcement that Cincinnati is now open for franchise sales. More than 30 new stores are projected over the next several years throughout Cincinnati and the surrounding counties of Hamilton, Boone, Kenton and Campbell, among others.

Currently, Baskin-Robbins operates 34 stores across Ohio. The company plans to open 200 locations statewide in small and large markets over the next several years, and recently signed a development agreement in Kettering for an additional store. Baskin-Robbins will open more than 400 stores globally in 2008.

Baskin-Robbins' Cincinnati launch is part of an aggressive growth strategy, which includes expanding in existing markets while entering new cities throughout the country. The company is actively seeking new franchisees willing to own and operate a minimum of three stores in Cincinnati and the surrounding counties.
