Jersey Mike's Subs Raises Funds For Eblen Children's Charities At Grand Opening October 10, 2008

October 09, 2008 // Franchising.com // Asheville, NC - Another Jersey Mike's Subs will officially open its doors in downtown Asheville, N.C. next week. Jersey Mike's co-owners and twin brothers, Patrick and Phillip Dillingham will celebrate their ties with Asheville when they hold a grand opening on October 15. This is the fifth Jersey Mike's Subs store the brothers have opened in the Asheville area since 2003.

Proceeds from the grand opening will benefit the Eblen Children's Charities. The store is located downtown at 200 College St. across from the Courthouse.

"Phillip and I were raised in western North Carolina and we are committed to this community," said Patrick Dillingham. "Eblen Children's Charities does great things for local children and their families. We want to support these children, who are, after all, the future of our community."

According to Peter Cancro, founder and CEO of Jersey Mike's Franchise Systems, reaching out to the community is a key component of Jersey Mike's mission. All franchise owners find ways to support their neighbors and employees are encouraged to volunteer their time and talents as well.

"You can sell the best products in town, but if you don't become a part of the community that you serve, you will never be a success," Cancro said. "The Dillinghams care a great deal about the community, and especially want to see every child reach his or her potential. Phillip's wife, Amy, who is from Point Pleasant, N.J., home to the original Jersey Mike's store, first introduced the Dillingham brothers to the Jersey Mike's concept. They chose this downtown location to cater to business people looking for quality, convenient meals at reasonable prices. The location will also offer burgers, fries, grilled chicken sandwiches, panini, and specialty espresso coffees in its Shore Grill section.
