Los Angeles, Oct 23, 2008 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Well, it's one for the money, two for the show... California Pizza Kitchen, Inc. (CPK) (NASDAQ: CPKI), having struck a chord with its first spin-off restaurant, which opened in Manhattan Beach, California five years ago, opened its second LA Food Show Grill & Bar in Beverly Hills today. The eclectic venue, which showcases L.A.'s "spirit of innovation and cross-culture experimentation," is located at 252 N. Beverly Drive in the heart of the premium shopping district north of Wilshire and just east of Rodeo Drive.
Noting that the new LA Food Show Grill & Bar location is "just up the street" from the original California Pizza Kitchen which opened 23 years ago, CPK co-founder and Co-CEO Rick Rosenfield said, "We are proud to bring our second LA Food Show restaurant to Beverly Drive, the place where it all started for us. This restaurant truly encompasses all -- it is a great place to have cocktails with a colleague, visit with friends over lunch or bring the entire family to enjoy dinner."
The 5,800-sq. ft. eatery will have an exhibition-style kitchen where guests can watch the show, said Larry Flax, co-founder and co-CEO of California Pizza Kitchen, Inc. To complement the open kitchen, the venue offers stunning interior design elements with rich rosewood features and dramatic lighting to provide a warm and friendly atmosphere.
Menu spotlights include Steak & Fries, Baja Fish Tacos, a wide variety of burgers and specialty sandwiches (e.g., Cajun Mahi-Mahi Sandwich), salads (e.g., Prime Steak Salad, Three Crunch Chinese Chicken Salad), wok stir-fries (e.g., Bangkok Stir Fry with Chicken, Szechwan Dan Dan Noodles) and featured dishes such as BBQ Baby Back Ribs, Herbed Rotisserie Chicken, Miso Black Cod, Seafood Enchiladas and such American comfort foods as Homemade Meatloaf and Buttermilk-Battered Fried Chicken & Waffles. A children's menu is also available including a wide variety of kids' most popular favorites.
