USA Today Names Captain D's Top Franchise for Minorities

Seafood Quick Serve Chain named Among the Best Franchise Opportunities by National Minority Franchise Initiative for Second Year

NASHVILLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--For the second year in a row, the National Minority Franchising Initiative has named Captain D's Seafood Kitchen among the Top 50 franchises for minorities.

"Captain D's is among those outstanding franchisors that have demonstrated an exceptional focus on recruiting and supporting minority franchisees," said Rob Bond, a co-founder of NMFI, which was formed in 1999 to connect franchising opportunities to the minority community.

Selection to the Top 50 is based on many factors, Wallace said, including historical performance, brand identification, market dynamics, franchisee satisfaction, the level of initial training, on-going support and financial stability.

"It is rewarding to see how many companies not only talk the talk, but more importantly walk the walk. There are a number of companies that actually have a majority of minority franchisees within their system. This list is a great honor for Captain D's to be selected. The analysis was rigorous and entirely objective. We are unaware of any other study that has published a similarly rigorous analysis," said Rob Bond.
