Hooters of Charleston Closes for Upgrades After New Ownership

ATLANTA, Dec. 12 // PRNewswire // -- Hooters of Charleston, West Virginia originally opened in August of 1994, and after 14 great years of serving up food and fun to the Charleston neighborhood, the decision was made to upgrade features and add a full liquor bar to the store. The restaurant located at 5615 Maccorkle Ave. S.E., will close its doors on Sunday, December 14th for the remodel.

The upgrades are being made with a focus on quality and guest comfort. "The updated restaurant will feature more TVs, booth seating and a full liquor bar," explained Dr. York, Hooters franchise owner. The improvements to the restaurant will result in a temporary closure; but, fortunately Hooters fans won't have to wait long to experience the upgraded features in the location. "Right now, if all goes as planned we will reopen in time for Super Bowl," continued York.

The decision to remodel was made after Dr. York's franchise group, Mountaineer Wings, purchased the location from Cornett Management, another Hooters franchisee based in Virginia.
