Krystal Rings in New Year With Free Menu Tasting at Franklin Restaurant

January 15, 2009 // Franchising.com // Chattanooga, Tenn. - The Krystal Company today announced that its Franklin, Tenn. franchise partner will ring in the new year and celebrate its new restaurant location by hosting a free menu tasting for area residents.

The "Sample Saturday" event will take place on Saturday, Jan. 17 from 1-4 p.m. and will provide Krystal guests the opportunity to sample for free the company's great variety of "big taste" menu options, such as the new Spicy Southern Chik Basket with Fiesta Waffle Fries and an ever-expanding, premium beverage line, including Krystal Freezes and MilkQuakes.

"We're excited to celebrate the new year and our new Krystal restaurant in Franklin by giving area residents the chance to taste some of the exciting, new menu options at Krystal as well as our signature products completely free of charge," said Jack Bussell, local Krystal franchise operator.

Guests visiting the new Franklin Krystal located at 1412 Murfreesboro Rd. on Jan. 17, between the hours of 1p.m. and 4 p.m., will have the opportunity to sample a variety of menu items including iconic Krystal offerings that are famously small in size yet big in taste as well as exciting new products from Krystal that deliver an exceptional value—not just in price but also in premium quality.

Items that will be available for guests to sample for free include:

Spicy Southern Chik Basket with Fiesta Waffle Fries - A spicy, crispier variation of Krystal's popular Chik sandwich, the Spicy Southern Chik features a 100% whole breast chicken filet marinated with classic hot sauce flavors of spicy cayenne peppers, tangy vinegar and other savory seasonings, all coated with a light and crispy southern style breading. The Spicy Southern Chik is topped with a pickle and mayonnaise and served on a freshly steamed Krystal bun. The meal is served to guests in a basket that includes two Spicy Southern Chiks along with a generous helping of spicy, seasoned Fiesta Waffle Fries and a medium beverage.

Krystal Freeze - The Krystal Freeze is a deliciously cool treat that takes the classic American slush beverage and combines the icy concoction with the highest quality gourmet syrups made from pure cane sugar and natural fruit flavorings.
