Genghis Grill - Continuing the Trend in 2009 With Another Franchisee Signing!

DALLAS, Sept. 3 // PRNewswire // -- Genghis Grill - The Mongolian Stir Fry is well-known for its fresh, hot and healthy food, for its style of fun service, featuring build your own bowl - an INTERACTIVE style of exhibition cooking.

Genghis Grill is KHANTINUING the trend with signing a new franchisee. Chris Carroll, the CEO and President of Carroll Family Asian Stir Fry, has signed on for a 6 store deal with an expansion plan in Phoenix and surrounding cities. The first location is slated to be open by the end of this year.

Carroll is president and CEO of Spring Creek Restaurants, Ltd., which includes Spring Creek Barbeque, Shady Oak Barbeque & Grill, Spring Creek Catering Co. and Mexican Inn Cafes. The company owns and operates 35 restaurants across Texas, most in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

Twenty new Genghis Grills are slated to open around the country in 2009, KHANQUERING throughout the southwest, south central, Midwest, and southeast. Expansion has been a company focus for years and you can now find Genghis Grill in 12 states.

"We want to be the largest and the best Mongolian concept out there," Al Bhakta, CEO of Genghis Grill Franchise Concepts, LP said. "We're the second-largest. In a few months, we will be the largest."

The aggressively expanding 37 unit chain operates locations through franchised and corporate stores throughout AZ, CO, IA, IL, MO, MN, NM, NV, TN and TX. Additional locations in AR, KS, MO, TN, OK, GA, NC, NM, NV, and TX are pending upon construction or site selection. There will be 42 locations by the end of this year, and 50 by the end of next year.

The first Genghis Grill opened in 1998 in Dallas, TX with very humble beginnings. Today, Genghis Grill is a segment leader when it comes to Mongolian Barbecue. It offers a Heart Healthy dining option along with an array of recipes to choose from KHAN'S KITCHEN (food bar). The growth of the concept has been predominantly through its KULT like following.
