Jersey Mike's Subs Raises Funds For UTB Chamber Education Foundation Owners Celebrate with Free Subs

November 12, 2009 // Franchising.com // Oldsmar, FL - Jersey Mike's Subs officially opened its doors in Oldsmar, Fla. Jersey Mike's owners, Brian Kenny, Todd Quinzi and Bryan Pagan know the importance of community relations and celebrated their new ties with the area during their grand opening on Wed., Nov. 11.

To commemorate the event, the new restaurant, located at 3860 Tampa Road in the Pinewood Plaza, hosted a 5-day fundraiser from Wed., Nov. 11 through Sun., Nov. 15, with proceeds supporting Upper Tampa Bay (UTB) Chamber Education Foundation. Anyone who had a fundraising coupon received a free regular size sub with a $1 contribution. Coupons were distributed throughout the community.

"Todd and I have been small business owners in the quick serve restaurant world for more than 20 years. We firmly believe that giving back to the community, specifically the schools, is truly important," said Kenny. "The focus of the UTB Chamber Education Foundation is to reward and recognize deserving students and educators in the community. We applaud their mission and look forward to supporting it through our grand opening celebration."

Reaching out to the community is a key component of Jersey Mike's mission. All franchise owners find ways to support their neighbors and employees are encouraged to volunteer their time and talents as well.
