Home Helpers Ranked Among Nation's Top 300 Franchise Companies

Ranked No. 1 in Senior Care Category for AllBusiness.com's AllStar Franchise List

December 22, 2009 // Franchising.com // CINCINNATI, Ohio – Home Helpers, the nation's leading senior care franchise specializing in non-medical and personal care and companionship, ranked No. 1 in the senior care category and #32 overall in a comprehensive listing of the nation's top 300 franchise companies by AllBusiness.com.

AllBusiness.com's team of editors researched, compiled, and analyzed more than 800 franchise systems to compile the AllStar Franchises list. The rankings assessed the strengths of franchising companies based upon criteria such as Web visibility and the latest financial strength scores from Dun & Bradstreet.

Home Helpers is benefiting from an aging America, and has shown steady unit growth even in tough economic times. The company's financial strength ranking jumped from #168 in 2008 to #51 this year.

"It is an honor to be presented with such a prestigious ranking in the franchise industry," said Emma Dickison, president of Home Helpers, noting that the company has more than 700 franchises based in the U.S. and five located internationally. "Up from our #80 overall AllStar ranking last year, we are continuing to see a growing demand for our services as the Baby Boomer population grows. Franchisees are seizing the economic climate to open a non-medical based business to service this audience's needs," continued Dickison.

Home Helpers offers free in-home consultations and works with individual clients and their families to tailor flexible care plans to meet their specific needs and budgets. Services offered may include companionship, grocery shopping, meal preparation, transportation, assistance bathing and dressing, medication reminders and light housekeeping.

The company also provides assistance for new moms, people recovering from illness or injury, and those who need continued care. Care plans are custom designed to the client. No equipment or inventory investment is required of franchisees. In addition to training, franchisees receive various business tools, including caregiver selection, scheduling, and management control systems.
