Jersey Mike's Subs Raises Funds For The Exceptional Foundation At Grand Opening
Owner Celebrates with Free Subs
Hoover, AL - Jersey Mike's Subs officially opened its doors in Hoover, AL. Jersey Mike's owner, Chris Decker knows the importance of community relations and celebrated his ties with the area when he held his grand opening on February 3, 2010.
To commemorate the event, the new restaurant, located at 1851 Montgomery Highway, hosted a 5-day fundraiser from Wed., February 3 through Sun., February 7, with proceeds supporting The Exceptional Foundation. Anyone who had a fundraising coupon received a free regular size sub with a minimum $1 donation. Coupons were distributed throughout the community and in local newspapers.
"The Exceptional Foundation's mission is to meet the social and recreational needs of the mentally and/or physically challenged individuals in the greater Birmingham Area," said Decker. "We share that commitment to our neighbors and invite the community in to help us raise funds to support the Foundation's good work. We look forward to getting to know our neighbors."
Reaching out to the community is a key component of Jersey Mike's mission. All franchise owners find ways to support their neighbors and employees are encouraged to volunteer their time and talents as well. "Every community deserves local businesses that are invested in its success," said Peter Cancro, Jersey Mike's founder and CEO. "Chris Decker has shown that he cares about Hoover and its families and we congratulate him on his newest store."
Jersey Mike's, a sub sandwich franchise with more than 450 stores open and under development nationwide, has a long history of community involvement and support. Started at the Jersey Shore in 1956, Jersey Mike's serves authentic Northeast style subs on fresh baked bread - the same recipe it started with over 50 years ago. The company's mission is to bring its customers the highest quality, freshest made sub in the industry and give back to the communities in which it operates.
