June 25, 2010 // Franchising.com // ORANGE, Calif. - Budget Blinds, the nation's leading custom blinds and window covering franchise, is ranked among the friendliest franchise opportunities for U.S. Veterans, according to G.I. Jobs magazine. The list was created to help veterans clearly identify those franchise companies that offered the most incentive to veterans to join.
"Veterans sought a trusted friend to help them decide which franchise to open. The Military-Friendly Franchises list is that trusted friend," said Dan Fazio, Managing Editor for G.I. Jobs magazine.
"We're deeply honored to be listed among the friendliest franchise opportunities for veterans," said Chad Hallock, President and Co-Founder of Budget Blinds, a Home Franchise Concepts brand.
"Veterans are excellent franchisees to have, and the incentives we've put in place demonstrate our appreciation for their service," Hallock said.
One of the incentives offered to veterans by Budget Blinds is a waiver of the $14,950 franchise fee for those U.S. veterans who pay their territory fee in cash. For those franchisees who finance their territory fee through Budget Blinds, the company discounts the franchise fee by $7,500.
Additionally, veterans are able to take advantage of the franchisor's other incentive programs, like the Royalty Holiday Program.
"The royalty holiday program is us betting on the effectiveness our program," said Hallock. "If the new franchisee has total gross sales of less than $750,000 in their first three years in business after following our program, we'll grant that franchisee a 10-month royalty holiday.
"Conversely, if the new franchisee posts $1.25 million for a single territory during his or her first three years in business, we'll give them a 16-month royalty holiday. Of course, conditions apply in both programs," said Hallock.
