Budget Blinds and Divine Design "Do Some Good" This Holiday

Product Donated to Benefit Raises Funds to Provide Meals to Homebound People with Life-threatening Illness

November 30, 2010 // Franchising.com // Budget Blinds, North America's largest custom window coverings franchise, has donated over $6,000 in product to be sold at the 2010 Divine Design benefit for Project Angel Food. The benefit will be held December 1-6, 2010 in Beverly Hills, Calif.

All the sales from Divine Design benefits Project Angel Food's mission to provide meals and encouragement to homebound people battling HIV/AIDS, cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. The volunteers of Project Angel Food prepare and deliver over 13,000 meals each week.

"This donation will feed a lot of people," said Alex Boling of Project Angel Food.

Budget Blinds joins iconic brands such as: Baker Furniture, Barclay Butera, Burberry, Calvin Klein, Dessin Fournir, Diane von Furstenberg, Donna Karan, James Perse, Kneedler Fauchere/Gregorius Pineo, Marc Jacobs, Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams, Monique Lhuillier, Oscar de la Renta, Polo Ralph Lauren, Theory, Tory Burch and Votivo .

"Divine Design is a great opportunity to do some good," said Chad Hallock, CEO & Co-Founder of Budget Blinds. "The organizers made participating so easy that we couldn't refuse the invitation."

Budget Blinds was invited to participate by this year's Home & Gift Marketplace chairperson Michela O'Connor Abrams, President of dwell magazine. The company donated a number of window coverings including Roman shades, woven woods and drapery panels.
