The Number of Women Business Coaches is on the Rise

CINCINNATI, Dec. 2, 2010 // PRNewswire // -- Women own an estimated 10 million businesses and as this number continues to grow, the demand for female business coaches is also increasing.

The Growth Coach, one of the world's fastest-growing business coaching franchises with a presence in more than 150 markets, notes a drastic increase in the number of women entering the business coaching profession. The company states that the percentage of women purchasing The Growth Coach franchise has increased from 13 percent of all new owners in 2009 to 44 percent in 2010.

"The Growth Coach mission, flexible lifestyle and unique coaching process have been increasingly attractive to women," said Daniel Murphy, founder and president of The Growth Coach, noting that women tend to be instinctively nurturing and love to help others. "While initially drawn to life coaching in the early 2000s, many women have recently discovered that business coaching can be a more lucrative field while still being very fulfilling."

Susan Katz, owner of The Growth Coach of Baltimore and the system's 2010 Coach of the Year, went into business coaching as a result of her passion for helping others achieve success. "I was in the corporate world for a number of years," she said. "When I decided to open my own business, The Growth Coach was a perfect fit for me, my lifestyle and my professional goals. I'm having a blast."

Natasha Bowen, who owns The Growth Coach of Memphis, is experiencing similar success. "It's in our nature to coach," said the system's 2010 award winner for Best New Market. "Watching a client transform a struggling business into a success story is very satisfying. Additionally, as a business owner, I am now in charge of my future, my work schedule and my income potential. It's liberating."

Founded in 2002, The Growth Coach is a business coaching franchise system with the single purpose of helping to drive the success and balance the lives of business owners and professionals. The Growth Coach utilizes a strategic-focusing process, typically delivered in a group workshop format, which is proven to help multiple clients achieve greater results by holding them accountable to themselves, and indirectly to their peers and coach.

"We see more and more female business coaches having fun and enjoying flexibility, while gaining greater fulfillment and success," Murphy added. "That attracts more of the same."
