Although a recent article by Bloomberg News stated that American's confidence in the economy has increased, small business owners remain skeptical of an economy characterized by an unemployment rate above nine percent and income fluctuations.

Also examining internal aspects affecting the outlook for small business owners in 2011, the survey reported that 76 percent of owners view the ability to generate sales growth as the top internal challenge facing their business.
