Lighthouse after-school program receives $500 donation

March 02, 2011 // Franchising.com // Fazoli's is spicing up the Lincoln dining scene with today's opening of its second location, 5012 N. 27th St., which features the restaurant's all-new menu, new design and new, expanded service style. Fazoli's also just finished remodeling its Vine St. restaurant and added expanded service, which includes meals and unlimited breadsticks delivered to tables. Traditional plates and silverware have replaced Styrofoam, plastic and paper.

"Lincoln diners can now enjoy a quality of food and a level of service rarely found in quick-service restaurants," said Carl Howard, president and CEO. "Our goal is to make sure busy Lincoln families can enjoy great tasting, affordable meals in a fun, comfortable setting."

Community and business leaders joined Fazoli's yesterday in cutting a ribbon to open the new restaurant. In keeping with its tradition of supporting the communities it serves, Fazoli's presented a check for $500 to Lighthouse, a community-based, after-school program for youth in grades six to 12.

Along with updating its restaurants, Fazoli's has overhauled its menu, creating new items and improving the flavor of long-time favorites. Entrees, which start at just $4.99, and sandwiches are cooked fresh when ordered. Fazoli's opens at 10:30 a.m. seven days a week, closing at 10:00 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and at 11:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
