Hooters to Match Funds for Japan's Earthquake Victims

ATLANTA, March 25, 2011 // PRNewswire // -- Hooters restaurants throughout the world are raising money to help support the victims of the earthquake and tsunami disaster in Japan. Through various local initiatives, Hooters locations around the world are raising money toward the relief effort and Hooters Community Endowment Fund (HOO.C.E.F.). The money raised will be matched by Hooters of America and the funds donated to support Japanese relief.

"Although our Tokyo Hooters restaurant did not incur any structural damage from the earthquake and tsunami, the disaster has affected the employees and disrupted the unit's business. We are very proud of our Japanese franchisee and we feel it is important to support them in this time of need," stated Tory Bartlett, VP of Franchise Operations for Hooters of America, LLC.

The initiatives in the U.S. will be combined with the current efforts of the 11 Hooters locations in Asia, which are also working to raise money for the cause.
