Jersey Mike's Subs Raises Funds For Bolingbrook Park District At Grand Opening

Owners Celebrate with Free Subs

July 18, 2011 // Franchising.com // Bolingbrook, IL - Jersey Mike's Subs opened its first store in Bolingbrook. Jersey Mike's owners Raj Patel and Jason Corriveau know the importance of community relations and celebrated their new ties with the area during the grand opening on July 13.

To commemorate the event, the new restaurant, located at 214 N Weber Rd., hosted a 5-day fundraiser from Wednesday, July 13 through Sunday, July 17, with proceeds supporting the Bolingbrook Park District. Anyone who had a fundraising coupon received a free regular size sub with a minimum $1 contribution. More than 10,000 coupons were distributed throughout the community.

"I firmly believe that giving back to the community, specifically to our youth, is vital to succeed," said Jason Corriveau. "Our goal is to give to the Bolingbrook Park District a competitive edge by raising funds to support its programs and services during our grand opening." One of the main goals of the Bolingbrook Park District is planning, organizing and conducting recreational and leisure activities for all ages and interests.

Reaching out to the community is a key component of Jersey Mike's mission. All franchise owners find ways to support their neighbors and employees are encouraged to volunteer their time and talents as well.
