America's Fastest-Growing Barbecue Chain Grows Presence in Kentucky

LOUISVILLE, Ky., Sept. 19, 2011 // PRNewswire // -- Dickey's Barbecue Restaurants, Inc. has reached an agreement to bring the restaurant chain to Louisville, KY., under the ownership of Joe Roberts.

″Dickey's Barbecue is simply the best. I have been eating there for years in Texas and am excited for the opportunity to bring it to my hometown of Louisville,″ said Roberts, who will own and operate the new location.

This will be the second Dickey's location in Kentucky and the first for Louisville.

The restaurant remains anchored in Texas, where the first location opened in 1941.

There are 174 locations in 35 states, and holds a 46 percent growth rate with a goal of 200 stores by the year's end.
