America's Fastest Growing Barbecue Faces Bright Future under the Lead of Danessa Williams

LEBANON, Mo., Sept. 29, 2011 // PRNewswire // -- Danessa Williams brought Dickey's Barbecue to her hometown of Lebanon, hoping for a new challenge and a chance to interact directly with her community. The road since 2009 held recession-worthy bumps, but the recent trend is steadily moving upward with sales increasing year over year.

″This is the best barbecue and the momentum behind the business expo has left me excited about the future,″ said Williams, who owns and operates the franchise location.

Encouraging the positive trend Danessa brought Dickey's Barbecue to the Chamber of Commerce's Business Expo with a booth of samples, giveaways and Dickey's signature barbecue sauce. 500 Big Yellow Cups and 1500 coupons later, Danessa was asked to bring Dickey's Barbecue back next year as a vendor.

″Being asked to return next year as a vendor is a huge step for my restaurant. I will be able to actually sell sandwiches and the demand is obviously there,″ she said.

Danessa left a 16-year career at McDonald's as an area supervisor to open her own franchise. After researching the options she chose Dickey's Barbecue, opening the location at 2540 Granite Lane.

″I was born and raised in Lebanon and it was important for me to remain here with my business ventures,″ she said. ″I'm glad I went after a new challenge for myself.″
