Dickey's Barbecue Settles in at Its New Location in California

The Nation's Fastest Growing Barbecue Establishes a New Home

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 21, 2011 // PRNewswire // -- Todd Schwartz of Dickey's Barbecue Pit will open his first location at 9035 Reseda Blvd. Schwartz recently signed the lease and construction is underway with an anticipated opening in February 2012.

"I am thrilled to be able to offer a new casual dining experience in the Northridge area," said local franchisee Todd Schwartz. "Given the close proximity to the California State University, Northridge campus and the Northridge Hospital Medical Center, there is a tremendous opportunity to introduce the variety of Dickey's delicious barbecue favorites to a diverse and vibrant community."

The new location is 2,250 square feet and has easy access from both Nordoff Boulevard and Reseda Boulevard. According to Schwartz, the layout of the restaurant will provide a comfortable, cozy environment whether you are dining alone, with your family or with a large group.

Texas-based Dickey's Barbecue Pit opened in 1941 and began franchising in 1994. Since then Dickey's has experienced a rapid growth rate this year and is scheduled to have 200 locations by the end of 2011.

The original Dallas Dickey's Barbecue Pit location remains open for business and is still owned and operated by the Dickey Family.
