Supreme Pizza Steak Sandwich Debuts at Charley's

Restaurant Chain Unites Two American Favorites into one Sandwich

COLUMBUS, OH, November 16, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Charley's Grilled Subs, the international Philly Steak Sandwich favorite, is rolling out a Supreme Pizza Steak Sandwich, combining two of America's beloved food items - pizza and cheese steaks - into one sandwich.

The sandwich, available nationwide on Nov. 14, is grilled-to-order and prepared with 100 percent Certified USDA Choice all-natural steak, grilled onions, mushrooms, onions and green peppers. It's piled high with pepperoni and provolone cheese, in addition to pizza sauce and Italian seasoning.

"We're excited to introduce the Supreme Pizza Steak Sandwich because we know pizza and cheese steaks are both big sellers throughout the country, said Chung Choe, R & D Specialist for Charley's Grilled Subs. "This sandwich is also a hearty meal for colder months ahead and we know our loyal customers will love it."

The sandwich, which will be on menus until Jan. 8, 2012, is the latest sandwich creation for Charley's, which focuses on innovative approaches to the traditional Philly Steak sandwich. Earlier this summer, Charley's re-introduced a Spicy Asian BBQ Chicken sandwich, capitalizing on the trend of Korean-inspired flavors.

Charley's popularity doesn't stop in the U.S. The company, founded in 1986 by Charley Shin, has grown to more than 430 locations in 16 countries. In 2010 alone, 38 new Charley's restaurants opened and the company is planning to build another 46 locations this year.
