Grand Opening of Dickey's Barbecue Pit in Kyle Today

Join the Celebration this Friday at Dickey's Barbecue Pit

KYLE, Texas, Dec. 16, 2011 // PRNewswire // -- What can you get for just one dollar? Dickey's Barbecue Pit will be celebrating its grand opening and will be serving one dollar pulled pork big barbecue sandwiches today, December 16th.

"We are super excited! Kyle is growing very fast and we are proud to be a local favorite," said Chris Hooker, general manager. "The feedback from the customers has been inspiring and rewarding."

This 4,000 square foot store is located at 5695 Kyle Parkway near Lowe's and Walgreens. There are currently 18 employees. The owners of the location are Don C. Leggitt, Jr. and Trey Leggitt.

At the grand opening, 101X radio station will be there to handout goodies and entertain the crowd. From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. customers will enjoy $1 pulled pork big barbecue sandwiches. Customers will also be given a chance to enter into a drawing where three people will win free barbecue for a year.

"We are ready to greet the community of Kyle and surrounding areas with great barbecue and excellent customer service," said Hooker.

Dickey's Barbecue Pit opened its first location in Dallas in 1941. Dickey's began franchising in 1994 and has grown at an exponential rate. Dickey's will open its 200th location this weekend in Abilene.
