PETAL, Miss., Dec. 22, 2011 // PRNewswire // -- Dickey's Barbecue Pit in Petal is now open and ready to begin serving delicious barbecue.

This 2,700 square foot restaurant is located at 1225 Highway 42. The store hours are from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. Lambert owns another Dickey's in Laurel.

Lambert has been in the restaurant industry for 20 years. Lambert and his wife have always wanted to own a barbecue restaurant.

Dickey's Barbecue Pit opened in 1941 in Dallas, Texas and began franchising in 1994. This year Dickey's has grown from 137 stores to 203 and can be found in 36 states nationwide.
