Turner was born and raised in Utah. He graduated from University of Utah with a degree in accounting.
"I have a background in restaurant franchising and was looking for a restaurant that was new and up and coming. We saw a concept in Dickey's that was unique," said Turner. "There aren't very many casual dining barbecue places especially in Utah. It doesn't hurt that the food is amazing as well."
Turner runs this business with his father Paul, his older brothers Troy and Trent.
